Flat Stanley

Flat Stanley (picture book edition)

I'm bummed with myself. I had good intentions of doing something with my son this past January. I thought that we would read "Flat Stanley" by Jeff Brown and then make our own Stanley and take him around town with us. After we shot a couple of pictures, I was thinking that we could put him in an envelope and send him to some of our friends in our playgroup.

I have borrowed this book from the library twice and still have not done this activity. Can I get some motivation up in here?!

  1. What a great idea! Don't feel bad though, kids love Flat Stanley up until about 5th grade---you have plenty of time!

  3. Aww, you have time! Dont fret about a time table - it's a great book and a wonderful idea!

I did it with my 2nd graders and 3rd graders when I was teaching and they loved it!

Now that there are so many flat stanley books it's fun to do with older kids who get into the whole series too! :)

You are a fun Mama for wanting to do it! I'm sure you will get to it! Good luck!
